Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.  3 John 1:2

Our bodies are not our own,  they were bought with a price.  They are also the temple of the Holy spirit and as such, the word of God tells us that we are to take care of them by eating healthy.  The Lord has given us in His word,  the wisdom and means to know which foods are good for us and which we are to avoid.  As children of God we can’t put just anything in our mouths and expect the Lord to grant us health simply because we ask a blessing over it.  We are to use wisdom and discernment in choosing foods that are best for our bodies.  With all the food do’s and dont’s out there, sometimes it can be very confusing to know what is or is not ok.  I’ve decided to have a little section on things I feel the Lord has led me to personally in answer to my prayers on the foods I should avoid.  Personally I feel that anything “Man Made”  is not the best.  My family and I eat foods as close to natural as we can (if it doesn’t come straight from the garden, we don’t eat it).  Here lately,  food is more about convenience and taste rather than nutritional content.  No wonder Americans suffer with so many diseases, obesity and health problems.  Here is one article I ran across (among thousands!) about artificial sweetner, that I felt led to share.  I know we’ve been told that too much sugar is not good (which is correct according to Proverbs 25:16) Yet this supposed ”healthy substitute” is much much worse.  If you are currently using artificial sweetner,  please read this article about the long term effects.
